Description
Join us at the June 13th Pop-Up Plaza. Bring your lunch and have a seat! Enjoy an afternoon at Monongalia Courthouse Square where you can gather, relax, and enjoy the arts. This arts and community event is for people who live, work, or love downtown.
There will be:
- Benches and seating.
- Live music and art-making.
- Coffee stand.
- Creative, oversized yard games.
- Check our website for "Square Deal" takeaway lunch specials from downtown businesses.
Your presence will transform the Square into:
- A public gathering space.
- A lively outdoor lunch spot.
- A springboard for public art.
- A bridge between citizenry and local government.
The Pop-Up Plaza is coordinated by Amy Loomis and Julie Bryan, community-minded citizens who want to spread positivity downtown.
The Pop-Up Plaza project is supported by the organizational arts grant made possible through a collaborative effort between Your Community Foundation (YCF) & The Arts Council of Greater Morgantown (ACGM), with funding from the City of Morgantown, the Monongalia County Commission and the Douglas H. Tanner Memorial Fund for the arts.
