U.S. National Christmas Tree Event

Join us for a free celebration kicking off the holiday season at the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Tour Event in Downtown Morgantown! 

Festivities will include:

• Hot cocoa
• Kid's crafts
• Live music
• Santa photo-ops
• And more! 

***Please bring unwrapped toys to donate to our local Toys for Tots program.

Schedule:

• 2:45pm: Formal Program at Courthouse Square
• 3:00pm: MHS Jazz Ensemble and MHS Pep Band at Courthouse Square
• 3:30pm: Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at Courthouse Square

Treats:

• Hot cocoa bar and cookie station by Zeke's Bakes & Breakfast, sponsored by the City of Morgantown

• Food trucks: Rollie Pollie Egg Roll Factory & Curbside Concoctions 

Activities:

• Sign the Capitol Christmas Tree Banner to send your holiday wishes to the Capitol and each tour stop along the way.
• Make and take ornaments with Monongalia County Parks & Recreation.
• Make a homemade bird feeder with the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Public Defenders Corp.
• Make paper plate tree cookies for kids with the City of Morgantown Tree Board.
• Participate in a fun, interactive kids activity with WVU Extension / Monongalia County 4-H.
• Make your own paper ornament with the Monongalia Arts Center.
